    ***Club Verellen*** - Part Deux

Haha, yeah it’s pretty gnarly. I joke around with my weightlifting coach that the reason I got into the sport was because of the need to lift heavy amps.

    ***Club Verellen*** - Part Deux

A year and a half into ownership of my KT88 MS, I finally got a decent cab to go with it from Atlas and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. This beast is a ported 612 with Eminence Delta-12LFAs. I play in Bb standard and my B string always sounded anemic with any sealed cabinet...

I've used an NV412 with a NV215 and it is by far my favorite cab combination. The 12s and 15s really compliment each other and make up for what i've found lacking in each. The 12s give me the punch and presence I like while the 15s add authority and girthy bottom end, especially when playing...

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Off topic from the NAMM stuff, but somebody really dropped the ball by not calling the new CME 4003 ChicaGlo...

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

I play mine pretty heavily and it has some noticeable wear as a result. Specifically, the back of the neck and where I place my thumb has gone from satin to polish. I don't mind too much though, I like how it's been settling in to my patterns and it's now one of the most comfortable basses I own.

Just finished 3 days of studio time with this beast. I normally use a 300w all-tube Meatsmoke, but sadly it is out of the equation for the time being. I started using the MS Pre with the Carvin as a backup because my dirt tone is very much tied to the Verellen sound at this point. I was...

Just finished up three days in the studio with this beast. Further solidified my preference in 12" speakers, had a great midrange punch without laking depth and clarity. I find my NV cabs benefit from solid state power more so than tube power, something about the responsiveness just matches...

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Just finished two days in the studio with these two, both are tuned BEAD with the Noir sporting TI Jazz Flats and the SW with EB Cobalt Flats. The Noir has quickly become my favorite Ric and gets the majority of the play time. The pairing of unfinished ebony and TI flats make for incredible...

Taking advantage of both cabs while I still have them and I thought you all would get a kick out of how gratuitous this was. Ran the Meatsmoke clean and the Matamp Dirty. I may have killed all the small mammals in a half mile radius... (The 215 is still for sale in the Bay Area FYI)

Nice. I did the same thing, but found the Gold Lion 12AX7s were breaking up earlier in the clean channel than the JJs so I went back to the originals. I tried many different tubes for the OD, finally settled on a 12AT7 to tame the breakup a bit and haven't messed around with it since. It is...

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

My Berg journey started about 7-8 years ago using a V4B into a HT210 for a studio gig. Since then i've also owned the HD410 and HD210, all three of which are ported. All three were perfectly excellent cabs, but none hit that precise sweetspot I was after. For awhile I was using either a...
