Perhaps you are right, maybe it is just a matter of getting used to it, I don't play slap bass anyway, and one of the main reasons I like the idea of a short scale six is so that you can use familiar guitar chord patterns with the left hand, and that only gets easier when the strings are closer...

I think the Marathon 6 is going to be a tad difficult to find. It seems only 100 or so were made. Any other suggestion? Also if it is not too much trouble, could you measure your Barracuda at the bridge, and tell me what the distance is from center-to-center on the two E strings?
