FWIW, Marco Mendoza played my rig earlier this year at a show, Ampeg SVP CL into a Crown XLS 1502 (bridged) powering a SWR Goliath Sr. 6x10... he cranked it completely, the sound guy turned the bass off on the pa system... i would never say it sounded tubey, there were no typical harmonics that...

This is very interesting... i didnt post any of the options i had in mind, because i wanted to leave people unbiased. but the mesa is the very first on my list. I've read quite a lot, and a lot of people who liked swr cabs also dig mesa cabs. Obviously this should be the one to try first...

An 8 ohm version would be cool, 2 would match nice with my power amp (crown xls 1502, around 1500w @ 4 ohm bridged... the pre is an ampeg svp cl btw.). But then again, i guess i would be better off gettin a used megoliath to get the sound i want... for sure those bergantinos are awesome cabs...

on the other hand, lookin at those bergatinos, 2 of those stacked could compete with a marshall stack in height. :-D

No, i'm just askin for 810s... but if bergantino has a 810 that has that kind of sound, i'd love to try one.

yeah, i'm lookin at the barefaced since quite some time... the only thing that bothers me a bit is the missing tweeter, but i would love to try it, maybe i can live with the available top end... but since these cabs are not that common, it's quite hard to try em.
