I have plugged a jack in and can see its touching all 3 terminals but as soon as the jack clicks in the sound goes, and it is a stereo jack it came pre wired

Fitted a 3 band eq to my p/j style bass and it only works with the jack slightly pulled out and the eq controls don't seem to alter tone , every thing is new except the pick ups which have always worked fine before hope some one came help thanks in advance.

Thanks for you answer, but just to note the jack was pre wired as was every thing else all I had to do was wire the pups to balance pot and earth them , and solder an earth to bridge to the base off the volume, I'm looking for ways to check where at fault the circuit is???

Thanks for your reply, I would love a deep impact but have never had a chance to buy one, as I know muse use them, I just feel with the amount of ajustments the micro synth can do, it should be able to handle most sounds.
