    Yea, I know. Does anyone have any idea of someone/somewhere that I might find a sextet of matched NOS 6550/6550a power tubes. (Made in the USA- GE or other). I’ve looked everywhere with no luck…(sad face). Thanks, Rod

    Along the same lines, and excuse me if someone has already said this, “it ain’t the boat- it’s the motion of the ocean”. A good bass player will find a way to sound good on any reasonable instrument. With that said, I’ll take the 25k Alembic for a spin!

    How many have had amps over 10 years and still use them?

    Kinda late, but here goes. I still have these and use them in the studio… -B-15 bought in 1976 -SVT bought in 1980. Was a full rig but only have the head now. -B-18 bought around 1985 -Alembic preamp w/Bryson 4b bought around 1986.

    I pull them out and play them from time to time. The necks are great- no problems. We're not talking the Mid West here...Northern California's climate (as you know) really doesn't change all that much.
