I'd definitely take the space echo, holy stain, nano muff, octave fuzz, a wah and maybe another distortion like the DS 1 or 2. That should give you some different sounds to choose from i guess edit: danelectro chorus!!

I'd recommend trying the phase 90 and the small stone at a music store. Also, red witch phaser sounds pretty awesome for bass, but a little harder to find (in my area at least)

The size and the fact that it needs a 12v power supply aren't really an issue for me, so i'm kinda leaning towards the compressore atm. Besides adding a warmer, more tubey sound to my SS setup, is it correct that the tube compression will be 'less harsh' than for example an mxr m87, dynacomp etc..?
