Lol here you go: I found it cheap on eBay - made by a (local) Melbourne man. Advertised price was AU$499 and when I contacted him about trying it before I bought it, he'd reduced the price by 40% because he needed to get rid of it to make room for more stuff. It's a bit of an odd bass...

Thanks for the link mate. I need the case to be flight-friendly. Do you think this would be an okay case for travel? Also I'm not too keen on having a branded case. I'd love to hear opinions on moulded cases vs rectangular ones too...

Thanks everyone, I've got plenty of food for thought, and I'm starting to think that maybe I'll rent/borrow/steal a head&cab of 300w+ strength for now while I save up for something a bit meatier than the Cube and the rest I mentioned. But. Since you guys were all so brilliant with your advice...

LOL!! Aussie girls are tanks! It just so happens that I'm a tiny 110lbs and if I tried to give you a piggyback, you'd probably crush me :P I was a guitarist, and when I played in bands I used Marshall head & 4x10 cab - the amp was only a 30w baby, but I couldn't even lift a 4x12 speaker onto...
