    Here is a trick that we do go to wallmart and buy a pkg of tea lights pkg of 6 or 8 for 5 dollars same battery take them out of the lights and use them less than a dollar apiece

    My ubass had the misi preamp and it failed. My wife just got me the GT micro bass and I love it . the intonation is better than the ubass. I still love my ubass its one of the first ones made in Calif. It is getting fixed.

    I have a 1942 Kay Bass in good shape for sale. Comes with bag and pickup. The action is set low would be a good bass for bluegrass or rockabilly.

    Double Bass need some advice on picking an upright

    Kays are the best for bluegrass and folk I think I have a 1942 Kay. but another bass that is good is Englehardt they are not as pricey as the vintage Kays and sound good. And play easy.

    I got a big surprise on Friday my awesome wife got me a 1942 Kay bass.:hyper: Its a blond and has a sweet smooth sound and lots of thump. and is in excellent condition

    Kala Ubass Megathread, Part 1

    I had the same problem with my ubass. I noticed that the bridge wasn't sitting tight on the post and was leaning forward . Causing the intonation to be off . I fixed it by putting wood shims under the front of the bridge. That seemed to help .

    My girl friend got me a solid body ubass last sat .I love it It is a kala and Road toad bass ash body. Did not take to long to get use to it as I also play Ukulele also a kala. I also play upright bass. This ubass is awesome it plays and sounds great. Also records great.
