Hello bass people, my name is Russell, I'm 38. I come from Manchester, England but I live in Sweden, with My Wife, Anna and My daughter Willow.
I Love all different kinds of music but I am especially enamoured with Hiphop, reggae/dub, funk, motown, northern soul, drum n bass, jungle and Santana's first album haha.
I have recently purchased my first bass, a VERY cheap starter pack, I wanted to see how it goes before laying out too much cash. I have always wanted to learn bass and now it is time!
I am new to bass, but no stranger to performing and song writing as I also rap. I have been part of bands, rap crews and worked solo.
I joined the forum with a view to learn more about basses, playing, learning etc

I guess I am influenced by all musicians. However if pressed to choose, my favourite bass player would be David Brown, of the original Santana line up. Love his sound, tone and simple but full of feel grooves.
