So this technique, or option, is pretty much used on an effect if it sounds better bypassing the preamp stage? If there are some effects, as you said, distortion, in play before the pre stage, that one does not want altering another effect? So you could have six pedals and run say 2 that bypass...

Trying to understand how they work, why, purpose, etc. From what I understand, effects are routed to bypass the pre stage. If wrong, please set me straight. If this is correct, what is the reason for doing this? Is this procedure more used for some effects over others? Thanks.

Thanks. I looked at the MS. is this as old or a little older than the b1on? I have seen reviews from 2013. B1four reviews seem to agree that is overall easier to use than the ON and better. For somebody like me, is it really a $100.00 upgrade?

I got the B1on in 17, I think a few years after it came out. I play as a hobby and enjoy messing around with it. Creating patches, however impractical some may be, is fun to do by itself. I guess my ? is for those who have had both. Comparing them, they look so similar, with not much change...
