Well, after all this Mesa conversations that we’ve been having I did have to go out and get a strategy 88. I’m curious as to your old opinion about those amps.

As you know so much of this is just a personal preference in how one thinks their sound is best. In my opinion, and admitting that I’m not a big lover of the Mesa Sound, I far prefer the Quatra. It might not be quite as bouncy but for me in a live situation the versatility is so much more...

Of course, the VA 400 is quite something as well and very similar sounding to the VR 350 + the GP12X pre.

I have to say that I agree with Wasnex about the bottom end of the Mesa + in a live situation. I use a TE V6 or more commonly a Hexa live. With the Hexa that It's so versatile I find that I don't really need a pre up front. More than enough power to say the least. Of course, the V6 is tremendous...

And also, how much would you want for it? I would be having you ship it to San Diego just to get an estimate of cost
