    What was the longest you went without changing strings?

    My dad has had his bass for about 20 years it is a "maple". thats what is on the headstock, never heard of them and cant find much out about them. he has NEVER changed the strings. im 26 and he's had it since i was seven. same strings. sounds good still, no crud buildup. no idea...

    Greg Bennett Designs (Samick) or SX?

    I Have a samick greg bennet fairlane model bass. got a good deal on it 90$ for the bass 50$ for the washburn amp that came with it 140$ total if you can get a deal close to that, jump on it. i love this thing even though i am mostly a guitar player (10 years) and a bass player only 3...
