So I'm considering the SPB-1 or the EMG Original P. I know they are two different animals. I assume I will get some strong opinions on this. ;) Any advice is appreciated!

So from the feedback I am getting I won't be going with the SPB-3. Maybe the SPB-1 or the EMG original P? I know EMG's are their own thing and seem to be a divisive issue on TB. I know these are active, but I really love the sound of these EMG original P's in this clip:

Standard classic rock/bar rock stuff. No metal. I would also like to roll off treble and get reggae tones if needed.

Any Is the SPB-1 more of a "vintage" sound? Is that pickup vastly different than the stock MIM pups?

Are Classic Vibe pickups considered "cheap but very good?" I liked the sound of those as well. Would those be considered an upgrade to MIM stock pups? I'm not looking to stay exclusively in the budget zone, but I don't want to spend hundreds on boutique either.
