Another data point: Mystic Bue, GC $499 clearance. Silent preamp, defeatable, pickup blend works as does volume in passive mode. Tone controls, negative. I kept thinking someone messed up in the pricing. Tune the trim pot on the rear of the preamp to your persuasion. I would love this thing...

My 12/24 GC $499 purchased mystic blue has one of the quieter I’ve heard. Everything looks hunky dory in the cav, love the neck, zero complaints🤙🥹
