I was going to suggest eating more to thicken you up, but you could try loaning the neck bolts and see if the neck will shift and help your situation. Otherwise new nut or return it if possible.

Given the neck and tuners I'd guess 70's Ibanez or some other Japanese build. The headstock holes would have had a plastic logo piece. I had the 6 string guitar version of that ages ago, though the neck on that one had many more layers to the neck. Very solid guitar!

I'd suggest a used LMB-3 and as @Deloofs said, keep the Enhance off. Does basic compression and limits if you need that. I got mine used for $40 12-15 years ago and it's still going strong. I place it after my drive pedals as that sounds best and most exciting to me. Sure it can add noise that...

When it comes to preamps I prefer EMG. I really don't care for the Tone Capsule's frequency selection. There's a lot of boost available and it gets ugly quick. Cutting the mids works okay but I leave it flat and just turn the preamp on. It gives a little sparkle that works well. I mostly play...

I picked up a Robo Pedals Triangle Fuzz a few months ago that I love. It's super gnarly and sounds great all the way down to drop E. I'm assuming it's a clone of a EHX triangle Pi fuzz, so maybe those would be a good start? I also have a Darkglass DFZ that I enjoy but at cleaner blend...

The white ones are a little thinner but give a bright articulate tone that I prefer. I have broken them with faster playing but that's not the norm for me. The XH gels are super tough and sound great but aren't as bright sounding. I prefer those with my Skyline 44-60, P bass or Warwick Thumb...

Generally speaking it's probably not interesting to most but for me it was a Robo Pedals Triangle Fuzz. I've been getting more into fuzz and honestly it's still a little new to me. This pedal has a lot more tonal range than I expected and sounds awesome on my drop E bass.

The stacked pots are bent. I had a different boss pedal with that same problem. You can pull the top black knob off and take a pair of pliers to gently bend the top part of the shaft back in place to allow it to move.
