Valid concern. Hopefully it’ll work out but the whole thing is an experiment and I haven’t done a ton of engineering research on how to balance an instrument. But I’m working with a talented builder so I’m confident we’ll get good results

I would have used ultralight‘s but did it come in black and lollipop. This is a full tuning machine probably pretty heavy.

Those are all gorgeous! I gotta go 4+1 tho and my bass is gonna be a real frankenstein in looks. 70s P bass look with the full wrap around pick guard and a jazz pickup. Nothing traditional about it. I want it to be a nod, not a replica
