The project continues...! Thanks to 1n3 for his help.. I decided to lengthen my air ports to decrease the box frequency. At first I extended by 3-1/8 in. According to the grains of rice, I had a box tuning at 54 Hz. So I replaced my extensions with new one of 3.5 in.. The grains of rice have...

Maybe it's just th Maybe it's just the way of entering the data into the machine? For example, for my interior volume, I had not subtracted the volume of the braces and the speakers. Or for the calculation of the ports, I had used 2 squares of the same dimensions as my 4 triangles, there are...

I did the « rice test » According to the latter, the frequency of my cab is 62 Hz… According to winISD , with the port dimensions that I manufacture, I should have 64,1 Hz. So this software is not so bad!

Post #4 of this page… I understand that Win ISD is not the 100% true…but I think that I’m not so far…If necessary, after test, I can modify the length of the port..

Post #4 of this page: Also, WinISD overestimates port length by about 40%. If you make the ports according to WinISD your cab will end up tuned lower than design. I also compared my port area with other model that I can find information on this forum. And , finally, I compare my results with the...

Almost done! I need a grill to protect the speakers… I don’t have my amp, so I can’t try it! :rollno: The wood box was 30 lb The total is 49,4 lb Any idea to try it ? How I can really determine the frequency of the box? thanks all

Yes I used WinISD. I shorted the port length at 60% of the results of winISD..

ha! ok! thanks! my plans are to let the speakers do their thing and add a tweeter (APT80 cause it's small) with a 3.5 kHz HPF and an L-Pad so I can control it... Eventually, I will add an HPF pedal in my set to control the sub-frequency

@Jeff Scott These cab looks great. The 1212/6 seems a little bit too big for carrying, but these 2x 12/6 looks pretty and light. These cab are the same as Greenboy fearful without tweeter…? May be my next building!
