This was a black mim, stripped her, refinished her in sonic blue nitro, complete new electrics, pick up covers and Hand wound 62 jazz pickups by a company in the Wales, UK called radioshop pickups. She looks, sounds, smells and feels amazing. I will never let her go

Hahaha. My mate said leave it black with black scratch plate. His words were "more metal than your grandma's kettle" And I'm no refinishing master. this was my first go at something like this. I have no skills as such in this field, give it a go. You may surprise yourself

That's the idea. The neck plate has his name and date of birth engraved upon it. I'll never sell it, it'll be with us for good. There's this and a 72 Tele waiting for him for when he's old enough

I've had an epi thunderbird classic-iv pro for about 9 months now. When I roll the neck volume down just a touch to 9.5, the tone drastically changes to a much more softer tone, and the volume is also drastically reduced. Should this be happening?

On the weekend I come across Black MIM Jazz with RW FB going for dirt cheap, so I decided to purchase it as a project with the plan of a colour change, pick up and bridge covers, upgraded pickups etc.... My wife and I are expecting the arrival of our first child any day now, so to mark this...
