Hard for me to believe that. I use the Fat Beams Travis uses in his video and mine are dead after a couple hours.

But it only sounds much brighter when your strings are fresh right?

So basically if I always want this tone I need to put new strings on my bass every week or so?

I dont see anyone commentating on age of the strings. I assume you need fresh strings to achieve this type of tone right? If Travis were to play this song for 10 hours straight in this video his tone would sound a lot different after a few hours?
