Yes it's them (didn't mention it as I don't know the policy about mentioning businesses in this forum). Great place, nice people. As you see my bass is on their catalogue. It's at walking distance from my place, as well as Thomastik-Infeld.

Good point, may do that, as long as it's still easy to plug the cable in the jack. I was also thinking to raise a bit the action of the strings as it's very low (to be honest, I asked them to set it low..), but I'm scared to spoil their perfect setup lol

Yes it's fully carved. After a few weeks of online and offline searches, I wrote an email to two famous luthiers in Vienna (they produce basses for Wiener Philharmoniker and the likes) explaining that I'm no professional, I've a budget of 4-5000 euros and asked if they had something for me...

After many years playing (non professional) saxophone, I moved to the bass world. This is my first bass, a Gewa Germania. Cannot describe the emotion of owning and playing one of those big boys. I've already read tons of informative posts, this group is great!

The bass was made by the bavarian factory "Framus" which had various lines of instruments and was particularly famous for their electric guitars at the time (when owning an American e-guitar was quite expensive and complicated). Your bass was one of their "master" model, made by known luthiers...
