Ibanez Mikro SS vs. Squier Vint. Jaguar SS

This is gonna sound crazy, but so far I actually like the Jag better. I was a little disappointed in the Allen Woody...was expecting more of a woodsy hollow-body vibe. It's a beautifully built bass, and the neck is nice...but not quite the sound I expected. I'll give it some more time, though -...

Gretsch G2202 or Squier SS Jag ?

I own both and would have a hard time recommending one over the other. The sound and feel of each are totally different. Contrary to what the others here have seen, the build quality on my Gretsch is slighter better than my Jag SS...neck pocket is tight, fretboard is flat, fret ends are nice...

Ibanez Mikro SS vs. Squier Vint. Jaguar SS

I don't know anything about the Ibanez, but the Squier VM Jag SS is a great bass...especially considering the price. The neck is thin and really easy to play (I've got hand problems too) plus the clarity and definition on the open E was a pleasant surprise. The setup on mine was good right...

CAN´T GET MY FINGERS TO SOUND THE SAME AS EACH OTHER

I noticed the same thing when I started really concentrating on walking bass lines...I couldn't get the same tone from each finger (in my case it was the 2nd finger that sounded best). So I began to pay close attention to how I pluck the strings. Here's what I'm doing to try to get...

    Opinions on Michael Manring

Amen. ;-) I saw him several years ago in a very small club doing a solo thing after John Gorka. I was impressed with the technique, of course, but even more by his humility. It was cool...

    Squier Jaguar Short Scale club.

My black Jag SS should be here by tomorrow afternoon and looking at all these is making the wait unbearable. :hyper: Back with a photo and report soon...
