Thanks for the input everyone, I’ll try to further remove the wood from those cones. The bass is already much better but I also have a Roscoe Beck V and there’s no comparison, the B string on that one feels and sounds like an extension of the other ones.

Maybe they’re just not used to cranking the gain so much? Idk. This matter is a bit complex for me, too many variables that I don’t fully grasp.

That’s just because the DI reduces the signal to mic level, so I’m guessing a line isolator could work better for me

When using a DI? I have it set to line and no pad on the input. I can raise the output volume but I have to raise it so much that it starts clipping on the stomp itself

I use an Hx Stomp with a radial JDI and everywhere the sound guys say my level is too low, but when I increase the output volume sometimes the stomp starts clipping internally.

I did but...it can't move from there, there's 4 bolts and a very tight neck pocket. The holes on the neck were never moved. It's unlikely but who knows... Is any of yours the same as mine?
