Any recommendations for strings that will have the correct transition? I can see now why the fenders are 36.5 vs others cause the tuning post is so close to the nut on the e string!

Thanks for the info. I never knew that was a thing! Seeing as these were old strings with the intention of just testing them out, they weren’t cut to the right length for this bass which may also be and issue. I will try what you suggested. As a second data point. Here is the D’Addario chrome b...
