update: i picked it up earlier today, and it seems everything is working alright. i love it. oh and also the owner let me try his 1969 fender jazz bass and let me keep his cable, which was awesome. very cool guy

this is really great. how can i check the tone controls if i have an active bass though? how do i know what's coming from the amp equalizer and what from the bass itself? on a side note about distortion and volume, would the high wattage be a problem when trying to get high-gain, overdriven...
