Now this is the body after 6 coats of stain, tomorrow night is clear coat night, and then to start on the neck!

So this my progress after approx. 6 hours of sanding by hand! Takes a while, but I'm thrilled with the results so far!

My ultimate goal is stripping it right down to the bare wood and staining it red as appose to the painted red, I love seeing the grains in the wood! Also staining the neck black after stripping the black paint off.

Not sure 100% if I'm in the correct subheading but here goes! I picked up this Yamaha rbx374 from a guy on kijiji last weekend for $145 and that included the hard case! Great price! But when I got to pick it up, I found it was not exactly as the pics described. But I thought hey, this bass needs...
