Steve Helland

I am primarily a drummer, having played virtually all styles for the last 40 years (started on piano, was a percussion major in the 80's); currently playing drums in classic rock/blues/country/jazz/jam bands. I took up electric bass as a side hobby in high school/college, as I have always loved the instrument and some of my best friends/colleagues have been bassists. I quit playing bass for about 15 years, but recently felt inspired to get back into it. My 15-year old son has been studying double bass, but his heart is in electric. I love it, and am really happy to be back learning the instrument again and undertaking a new challenge with him.
