I want a good distortion or od pedal that would help me achieve a Cliff-like tone. I have a fender standard p-bass and and use d'addario prosteels. Any you could recommend. I am thinking about a big muff pi. Any thoughts on it?

Ellefson has a clear crisp tone which I love and his sound cuts through the guitars. His playing is very clean and precise too. Burton's tone is muddy and his playing is a bit sloppy. I think his playing serves the music well but as a bassist I think Ellefson wins. I enjoy his bright almost...
