Well, I guess it's kind of a 4-string standard tuning I'm after but applied on a 5-string bass so I can mimic the tuning on the first 5 strings on my C-standard guitar. So technically, the B-string is tuned up to C, the rest of the strings will be dropped two steps I guess.

Whoops! I was wrong. My bass is a 35" scale. How much will that matter regarding the suggested string gauges?

Thanks! Yes, drop the tuning two whole steps so the low 5th string is in C. Just like my guitar except for the high C-string on my guitar.
