    vintage Fender bass case experts?

Heya. Just grabbed a newer bass on CL that came in this beat-up vintage Fender case, so obviously I plan to sell the case for $25-$30k on Reverb. Anyone know during which years they were using this logo/emblem with the brown interior? Thanks.

Any Fender P bass experts care to take a guess?

Yeah, it was converted to fretless. I wasn't focused on that because the neck is easier to identify. And yeah, it's a slab of ebony. Pretty fun.

Oh yeah. Killer bass. I only play fretless occasionally. I bought it intending to sell it after using it on a couple sessions. Just want to have as much info as possible so I can be transparent in the listing.

Any Fender P bass experts care to take a guess?

Agreed on all counts. I was trying to decide if it's more likely the original body refinished, or a later model. I just heard from the previous owner and he thinks it's the former. And yeah, the pickguard, Duncans, and pots are the newest thing about it. Thanks for weighing in.

Yep. Agreed. I wasn't implying that the body and neck were a match, just that it's Fender. I see them as early as '79, but I think it looks closest to the early '80s ones. Thanks for the input. Appreciated.

Well I found enough examples of similar '70s sienna bursts online to make me confident that the body is Fender. They look exactly the same as this, though admittedly I can't see the neck pockets. I was a little thrown by the output jack being on the bout, but now I realize that was a necessary...

Any Fender P bass experts care to take a guess?

Ok, bass gurus. What am I looking at here? This thing has been modded heavily, so here's what I'm trying to figure out: what body is this? I can't make anything of the neck pocket stamps. And the switch? Sounds like a passive/active switch, but there's no battery. The neck (fretless conversion)...

    name those D'Addario flats

Hey there. Any chance someone recognizes these? We're halfway there (insert Bon Jovi joke) given the colored ball ends, but beyond the brand I'm unsure. Chromes? I'm not a flatwound guy. Hoping to have someone weigh in in case they're taperwound, half-wound, or something else I'm not aware of...

    replacement nut for PJ Mustang?

Heya bass people. I've got one of those Fender MIM Player PJ short-scale Mustang basses. Love it for the 3-hour gigs. Nice and light. Replaced the hardware and pickups (Holy crap the Lollars made a big difference!) and now looking at upgrading the nut. Any idea if there's something that'll just...
