I never knew what I was missing until I stacked a couple 15's under a d800+. The little kid with his first real bicycle feeling. Man it's great. Crank that thing up and figure out how far away the neighbors really are lol.

Congratulations! I'm still in that very place with my mesa rig months later. Bass nirvana. Worth the wait!

Most heartfelt condolences. Mine went over a decade ago. I have his Chiquita and acoustic guitars. They'll never leave the family I hope.

It's only overkill if you turn it up too far in the house

I started down this Mesa road with a d800+. Ran it through a gk neo 212 4 ohm cab and liked it. Then I found a subway 115 and ohhhh! There it is! I recently found another one on here, and a 210. The guy was super cool and let me try them out together and separately. I bought the 115. I play in...

I think we watched Reagan get shot on the same TV in the same class that year if I remember correctly. Pretty raw stuff for a first grader.

Choosing a head for GK NEOIV 212 8 Ohm Cab - advice

When I bought my d800+, I chose the neo 212 in a 4 ohm. This was mainly due to availability. I absolutely love the sounds I get out of it, and the Mesa head will also do a very low volume if you like. I'm certain you're going to find this rig is far more than adequate for any situation from...

So, it's been a very long time. Maybe 30 years have gone by since I've been in a well stocked guitar store. I just spent an hour in an amazing place. The Bass Shop in Seattle. Wow! Jeff is the man. This place has inventory. They recently became a Mesa dealer, and I'm super stoked! Finally I...

I'm certain that the wisdom of @agedhorse far surpasses my ergonomic wishes when it comes to cabinet design And the ashdown stack is on the block now that I found what I consider to be the voice of heaven.

I have an Ashdown 210 with the inset handle on top. So nice to move around, and especially stacking in tight quarters. I think all light cabs should have this feature.

The 115 carries pretty well by one handle, even being a cube. Pretty sure it should have had a comfy inset handle on top instead. I'm not complaining though. The sound it produces offsets any slight ergonomic issues by a long shot.

Five Star Guitars has a 115. I think they're in Portland. I was going to buy it but then found a great used one. Might be an opportunity to go plug your d800+ in and take it for a ride. It's a pretty sweet sounding setup.
