    No question. It was a 16 pence washing up sponge. Put under the strings in front of the bridge and it’s instant James Jamerson sound. (Well it would be if I had the skill but it’s way closer!)

    Finished the defret ok. Now setting up. Upgraded bridge. even with saddles at lowest position action way too high. Neck relief ok. Probably need to shim neck at socket.

    Id love to be a member. Im defretting an Ibanez mikro but having problems. For my arthritic hands short scale means 30 inch maximum. Does anybody know where I can get a 30 inch or less fretless. I cant find one in the UK.

    Short scale fretless.

    I currently use Ibanez mikros (28.6 scale) thanks to arthritis problems my jazz bass days are over. Im Ok with 30 inch short scale though. Am looking for a lined fretless short scale. Cant find any, does anyone know if there is such a thing?
