Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

Edit: Looked up the capacitor and it is 47uf. Not sure how that affects thing.

Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

I finally got the time to do the mods and you guys rock. It's just as I described, highs to one side and lows on the other. Tapping the pickups with a screwdriver says it's working properly. This eliminates a third pot and greatly simplifies things. One caveat though is that all changes happen...

Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

Many thanks for the explanation(s). Wasn't familiar with the phrase 'dimed'. This sounds like what I need. And I'll look for a M/N taper pot. Again, thx for the help.

So when the blend pot is in the center, are both pickups equally active? When you say disengage the cap, do you mean full treble/tone? The cap cuts the tone?

Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

Yes, that is what I'm looking for! This will simplify things and give the broadest 'results'. And this does sound like the best method - to put the cap on the blend pot. Do you know of a schematic available that is similar? I have searched the web with no results. Many thanks to you and Makden.

Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

I want one (dual gang) pot, 'one knob' shifting both the tone and the pickup. The neck pickup is of course less tone and the tone supressed at the same sweep. One knob serving dual purpose. I feel like it it is possible, I'm just not sure how to accomplish it.

Need schematic - Two pickups, one volume, one tone/blend

Got a bass with two musicman pickups and want to simplify electronics to one volume, and one tone/blend (using a dual gang pot) set up as bridge pickup/high treble on one side and neck pickup/bass tone twisted the other way. Anybody talented enough to draw out a schematic? Please no smarty...

For Bugera Veyron T owners- amp set up and cab choice

I love mine except for one thing - the mute switch resets every time the amp is turned on. I'd like it to stay muted until I turn it on (mute off). Microprocessor controlled - I'd prefer it to be an actual switch.

    Guitarron conversion

This weekend I found the guitarron volume to be suitable for accompanying a mandolin (I've always thought they were as loud as a banjo) and acoustic guitars, so this will do nicely. By afternoons' end I was getting used to the new arrangement and was playing Zep, AC DC and Boston along with the...

    Guitarron conversion

Yes, it can all easily be returned to standard Mariachi configuration. The stock nut is 47mm x 5.3mm x 11mm tall and the spacing goes from 7.3 to 7.7mm. It took me 10 prototypes to get the 3D printed version correct as each string needed a different height, but here is what it looks like when...

    Guitarron conversion

That would require me to make a movie and that is some work:) But I assure you it sounds the same, maybe a little clearer.

    Guitarron conversion

Watching a mariachi band it occurs to me that part of the appeal of the guitarron player may be the wild action of the plucking hand! It's like the double bassist slapping the fretboard keeping time and giving some visual action or appeal for the audiences' benefit. With my arrangement, it loses...

    Guitarron conversion

No, this is a guitarron with frets. Is that what you meant by '"converted to bass guitar"? It might give a little more volume (because of the frets - it's not fretted by finger), but there's very little difference. Now I can be heard with acoustic guitars. It is a different sound (with octave...

    Guitarron conversion

I'll see if I can address all the questions: 1. The fingerboard is made of PLA, the 3mm motorcycle spoke frets are superglued into slots. I got the fret spacing off the internet - was easy transferring it to my designing software. Perfect intonation (well, guitarron intonation - what with a...

    Guitarron conversion

I've been considering making a Youtube video, but that takes some work too! Will post it here if I ever do.
