Update! I went with the Mesa Boogie. I've used it at a couple of gigs. The sound is different, but solid. There's a lot of oomph behind it. It has a "Deep" switch to give it more bottom end. I actually use the deep switch but roll the Low EQ knob quite a bit and it gives it a good balance...
