Here is another cut from this same group (Pop Tops era 1971 / 1972). The clip is done with the music pre-recorded and the members singing, but you still, you get those wounderful tones. This instument was a cheap import from Japan, by a company that made units for other cheap imports too...

Teisco NB-4... The head has been surgicaly altered. See the fret markers??? Same as mine. It's a '64 (fretted model, mine is fretless), has had the pick guard painted from it's original Zebra stripes, but the sound is unmistakable. Same thundering velvet I get from mine.

HHmmmm… I just got my daughter’s bass out, and put the ruler to it… Her’s is a Fender Squier P- Bass (Affinity series) and it measures 34 in from nut to bridge. I don’t know how to read the Fender Serial Numbers (SN IC010201529), but I think it’s the 529th unit built on Jan 2nd, 2001...
