I've played round-wounds (Ken Smith Rock Mediums) on my P-bass for the past 16yrs, but they really don't work well on one of my other basses (1969 Telecaster Bass). They're just too bright and thin. I'm thinking flat wounds will make that bass sing, but I have zero real experience with them...
