I also use various forms of foot percussion, and when I am not playing bass I play a Davy Stuart OX10 cittern, a Solen Lesouef flute, Mike Hulme uilleann pipes, and Copeland Low Whistles.

Influences and Teachers

My bass player influences are Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham, Victor Wooten, Dominic “Forest” Lapointe, Eric Czar, Tony Levin, Jonas Hellborg, Geddy Lee, Louis Johnson, Caoth, and many others.

However, just as many of my influences aren’t even bass players. I learn from players of any instrument and genre that I enjoy, whether they play harp, electric guitar, drums, electronic, etc. I like Irish, Swedish, and Breton traditional music. Classical, baroque, and medieval tunes. Various sub-genres of metal. Funk. Jazz. Experimental. 8-bit chiptune. Etc. etc. etc.
