I already have a Schector Diamond Series 5 string, so id like to get something different. And I didnt find anything on a piccolo bass. Any other suggestions? it looks like the same type of neck on a Hofner Viola bass, if that helps anyone think of how thin it is.

Ya youre going to need to do a few things. 1. Get a new nut. Youre going to need to buy it stock or buy a custom one with a high C and low E 2. Buy a set of 6 string bass strings, you just wont be using the sixth one. 3. adjust the truss rod. alot. if you dont your neck will warp insanely.

if you want a hi C, buy a 6 string. i usually tune my 5th up to a # or flat note, usually D#. i just like the extra funkiness i can get from it. B is just too low for me.
