Middle-aged. Tried to play guitar my whole life but only recently (2017) had the time to dedicate to practice after a disabling brain injury. Stopped guitar and went to bass for a few weeks and suddenly it all made sense. A couple years later and playing with feeling and without looking kicked in, and I love it. Learning to play and play decently has been a lifesaver for me.

- Nash JB-65, EB SUB4. Fender Rumble and Ampeg combo amps. More pedals than legal limit and counting. (And a Yamaha Pacifica when I want to fiddle with guitar.)

- Rock (mid ‘60s - mid 90’s, generally), blues, metal, a bit of punk, and a dash of country (gotta play Johnny Cash once in a while, right?).

- Self taught but had a vast music collection back in the day. Worked at a record shop through the 80’s (best. job. ever!)
