I'm looking to start taking some long overdue bass lessons, and scanning my local Craigslist posts, most of them are guitar teachers that also teach bass. Should I hold out for a teacher that primarily teaches bass, or am I over-thinking it? Any experiences from either side of the argument?

Sorry if this topic has been covered in a different thread, but I'm thinking about getting some bass lessons and I'm wondering what's the price range in the Twin Cities? Also, any instructor recommendations? (I saw the lists but no "ratings") Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice, TB'ers. I'm kinda leaning toward the Stingray at this point cause its cheaper and fewer unknowns (not to mention that I really like the SR also), but we'll see if I do something rash when I get a hold of 'em after work tomorrow!
