TheFumanchurian
I like sounds and the people who make them! I like story-telling throughout human history, and most of all I love our natural world. I think of music as a way of describing things, living or non-living. I like to think about thinking.

Mainly Ambient music. My interest in music began with video games, film, and classical/jazz radio. These days I gravitate towards anything "progressive", experimental, and avant-garde. Rock, Metal, Blues, Jazz, Classical, and World Music... I listen to almost everything!
Gigs and Ensembles
I play bass for a band now, and other instruments in a few others!

I like 70's craftsmanship with some modern features. I like passive for some things, active for others. I usually go for dark, rich, oil or nitro finished wood grain and black hardware. The heavier the weight, the better for me. I prefer neck-thru or Set Neck construction.
Influences and Teachers
Too many influences to list but the obvious ones that we all know and love. Right now I'm studying/re-visiting the playing of Justin Chancellor, John Myung, Thundercat, Al Cisneros, Jeff Caxide, and Brian Cook.
Hobbies and Interests
Cooking, Art, Video Games, Travel, Film, Composition, Soundtracks, Psychology, Music Ethnography, Comedians, Geography, Astronomy, Analog Circuitry. Love Sci-Fi, Fantasy, any kind of World Building, but lately have been into history and science podcasts.
Teaching Credentials
I've been studying/practicing music production, and luthiery for 15 years. Certified tech for Fender and Martin instruments. Gigging in various cover bands and doing session work since around 2013 or so. Started working professionally in Live Sound in 2014. AA degree in Multimedia.
