    Kk thanks for the help & info guys. I live in Singapore so yeah...very humid. It was on a plane from US to SG so it was probably knocked during the flight.

    I've used the alcohol on the output jack with no luck:( This problem only started recently. Also there's lots of hum too. Touching the other metal parts only reduces the hum, doesn't cause any crackle.

    Hey all I've been having this problem recently with my Fender MIM jazz bass in which the amp makes a crackling noise whenever I run my fingers along the strings. This includes both sliding and just moving along the strings. The sound usually stops when I stop moving but sometimes persists...
