Thanks a lot for the links! There are all the answers i need. However, i realize that there is not a standard setup (that would make things much easier) and all depends on the instrument and personal style. So i'll keep on prectising and adjusting... Thanks again.

I got my first double bass a few days ago and i'm at the stage of exploring my instrument. I have a Cremona 3/4 and i did all the string and bridge setup on my own, so i'm not sure if i've done it right. Strings seem to be very high and too strained. The height of the bridge is 9cm/3,5 inches...
