I have to say that despite the crack, it was still playing very well. The crack was probably too small to affect the intonation. But I loosened all the strings now to not make things worse.

@Engle, thanks for the stewmac.com site, looks like a lot of interesting content about repairs. Since I can't remove the old glue, I will go with Epoxy and order it online.. along with some clamps. When it's all done, I'll post the results here! Success or disaster, you'll have pics :)
