Brand new, from the same box box music retailer in New Zealand, just in different shops and with really different setups. The OW is ok-ish, relief looked pretty good to my eye, bridge height a bit high but I could get a feel for things. The 3TS was so bad it ruined my demo playing, way too much...

Thanks Minimalist, yeah I think I will ignore the fretboard wood, I like the feel of both and can't really hear a significant tone difference. Thinking about it more now, I think the main question is whether I can trust that the 3TS will feel and sound as good as the OW once it is setup...
