Tim Skaggs

Rock lover all my life My first band was all the top 40 songs we could learn and several old standards. Started getting into rock based blues pretty heavy in the late 1990s & played in an all blues band for a few years. Got into Bluegrass and the upright bass world in early 2000s and continue to play a few BG gigs a year.
My long term bandmate (guitarist) started having some health issues in the late 20-teens and my playing slowed drastically. In March 2021, I joined a new band and started playing more frequently than any time in my playing career. That lasted until July of '23 & then I joined another band that played as often or more. I'm still at it as of late August '24. Update: still going strong in August '26.

Signature

P-Bass tone is what was heard on most hit songs from the 50's to at least the 90's. Kinda' explains why it's a popular tone…
