Help with Czech Spector (early 2000's?)

I got this 4-string Czech Spector in a trade a few years back. Great bass, but I don't know anything about it. From what I found on the Spector site, it appears to be a Euro4 made in the 2001-03 era. Serial # is NB1153. It's a trans blue (faded to almost purple now) P-J pickups, gold hardware (a...

Dang! Thanks. You can tell I haven’t been on here in awhile. The whole forum format is different. Didn’t see the “DB” in the heading. I’ll move it.

SOLD Rare Model Rickenbacker Bass, Vintage 1989, 4003S, Dot Neck, Mono, MINT

This looks exactly like the one I used to have! I bought mine new in 90 or 91 for $625:woot: I sold it a few (maybe 8) years ago (stupidly)! I should have hung onto it. It was a lovely bass and the thin neck was perfect for a primarily skinny-stringer like myself. GLWS. Beauty for sure! --Tom

    School me on Tobias basses

Guy has a Killer B for sale. It looks pretty cool. I remember Tobias from the 90's, I think, but I don't know much about them. Thanks. --Tom

Tuning a sixer as a guitar

Thanks for the replies folks. Not really interested in a short scale like a Fender VI. I want to take a full 34" scale six stringer and tune it E to E like a guitar, so the bottom four strings are like any standard 4 string bass, but I don't have to re-think the neck when I jump from...

Tuning a sixer as a guitar

Ok, first time poster, need advice. I'm a guitarist (they say admitting your addiction is the first step to recovery), who sometimes plays bass. Started out playing only 4-stringers, then decided I wanted more variety so I picked up a 5 a few years ago, but I've never bonded with the low B...
