    Why are older basses "coveted"???

Trees don't grow on trees, you know.

Receiving a Bass heavier than advertised

I think suggestions of asking for a discount are disingenuous. If the seller shipped you a left-handed bass, you'd say, "Sorry, I can't play a left-handed bass. Please refund and update your listing so the next buyer doesn't make the same mistake." If the bass is heavy enough where you can't...

Receiving a Bass heavier than advertised

If you weren't staring at the numbers on the scale, could you tell the difference just by holding it?

Double Bass Your motivation as a musician

Creative expression and the social component. Also it's an avenue to nerd out about bands of interest, gear, etc.

    Home/office printer recommendation needed

I won't bore you with the nerdiness, but with new thermal inkjet technology (TIJ 2.0) and a good printer with good nozzles, you can go three months easy without printing, and confidently fire that thing up again without clogging. Again, I'm more into tank printers versus cartridges now. Those...

    Should I become a Drummer?

For this particular situation, no. Because you'd still have to be in two places at once, playing in both band #2 and band #3 at the same time.

    Home/office printer recommendation needed

I'm late to the party, but I do like the "tank" printers versus the old "cartridge" printers. You squeeze a bottle of ink into the tank versus replace a plastic cartridge. The ink is supposed to last a long, long time. You don't need a subscription; you can just buy replacement ink bottles when...

Need recommendation for entertainment/film contract advisor

Yeah, you got it with your last sentence. Unless you expect your photos to be completely edited out of the documentary after a number of years. But no, I meant more in terms of limiting the use of your photography for re-use (whether that means advertising for the documentary or anything...

Need recommendation for entertainment/film contract advisor

It's not crazy. A lot of times, you buy the rights to an image for one year because it's a limited campaign. And then you specify if the image will be used in print, digital media, etc. Since it's going in a film that might be leveraged for web streaming, or maybe an image will be put on a...

    NBD... sort of. (Ruokangas content)

Super beautiful bass! Thanks for sharing the story and photos. Very unique pickup approach. Now you'll hafta share some sound samples!

Setting consistent VU levels across individual patches in a Zoom B6

I think you took the right approach. VU isn't going to be the answer. Just throw a compressor after it and set the gain reduction as small as possible to even out the volume between your different settings. I think that's really the best option.

    EQ Pedal

To a large degree, the Behringer and the Boss will do the same thing. Their bands are all at the same frequencies and they both do +/-15db. You might wanna do some research into some reviews and see whether that Behringer introduces noise into your signal. If it's not noisy and the interior...
