    wcnewby, i'll try your exercise (though i'm not shure i have understood exactly. i got the essence of it :) ) carlthegroover, no problem at all. as I said i used to play death metal and that's where i started. Now i don't need speed anymore (for now) but i wanted to keep it up for better days...

    that's a good advice.. I agree in saying that too much speed is pointless unless you can use it to actually make music. To tell the truth even if i have quite a good overall technique i don't like busy playing.. I try going further do it only because it makes me feel good and let me play all...

    i do quite similar, but starting from 16th at 140 and going up 5bpm each time.. I'll tri your approach. for shure playing so slow at first will do a lot of good to me in terms of sound and cleanliness.. Yes, lot o f people will be bored to death doing these kind of exercises but i find them...
