    Fender American Special Jazz OR Fender Deluxe Active Jazz ???? Help !!!

    I already play Ibanez and ESP active basses and have for a while avoided the jazz bass for some reason but now I feel it is time to venture into J Bass. I guess I'll just try and find a couple to play. Is the standard really much better ?

    The deluxe is not american sadly. I do prefer the look of the special because of the maple fretboard. Cheers :)

    I'm after a new bass and I'm stuck choosing between a fender american special jazz and a fender deluxe active jazz bass. Has anybody got any experience with either or know of any better basses for the same money ? Cheers guys !!:bassist:
