Can anyone photoshop something for me please?

I think it'd be really cool if it was proper black, the photoshops don't do it justice of course, maybe swap out the knobs for completely black ones?

How To Not Be a Dumb Bassist

Great article! But come on guys, no need to take it this serious. Of course it doesn't apply to everything, everybody, all the time, but the point has been made. I personally love a bass player with 1 bass, 1 back-up, a cable and an amp. No need for all the faff!

Epiphone Jack Casady - Alpine White?

I searched for this, couldn't find it on here, but I'm not a great searcher. So anyway, looks like they're bringing out an alpine white one! Invalid Link Removed

    What is your warmup song???

Every soundcheck I do is the riff from La Bamba. The guys hate it, it's perfect. Oh by the way, I'm 19 and we're a postrock/indie band.

    Show your ashtrays/pickup covers

And I thought this thread would be the one where I would find a road worn fiesta red precision bass with the pickup and bridge cover! I've been looking for a picture of one of those with both the covers for ages, it's probably the last thing I need that would make my GAS spin out of control and...

    Fender Starcaster Bass "Reissue"!!

You've probably figured this out by yourself by now, but each pick-up has its own volume and tone. Can't recall whether the top 2 knobs controls the neck/bridge pickup, but it works like that. You've got a pick-up switch and you can probably leave it in the middle and adjust the volume for each...

What would you buy if you had 500 to spend

Imagine having a good bass and a good amp setup that you're happy with, and you're given a 500 dollar gift card for any music store. What would YOU buy? A second bass? Some effects? A normal guitar? A 5/6/7/12.. String to have some fun with? A cheaper fretless? Another instrument to experiment...

Any (semi) hollow body-basses with a Fender-type headstock?

I really like the look of most (semi) hollow body basses, but I personally can't stand most of the headstock designs where they have 2 tuners on each side. To me it looks a bit dumb with 2 big tuners sticking out straight from each side. I have a warwick corvette which has the same thing, but...

cocky young band gets owned by Letterman's Band

You can say what you want, we're still talking about it, and if it was just another show I wouldn't even remember The Orwells, but now I'm checking out their youtube page. I like the singers voice, and I really couldn't care less how he acts on stage, that's his choice. They have good songs...

Band Members Ever NOT like your bass?

Yes! Get this all the time. I'm in a indie/postrock/shoegaze band and I have to admit, looks are important. When we play on stage we try and set up the amps symmetrically, we have a backdrop banner, stickers on the flight cases with the band's name on and stuff, cables get taped and put out of...

Please help me identify my Warwick

So I've got a swamp ash body according to my judgement going from googling the woods, ovangkol neck with wedge fretboard, active J-style pickups, oil colored finish, made in Germany, 2008 model Corvette std., worth about 1000 euros new (checked some sites) and should be alright for selling...

Please help me identify my Warwick

Thank you. Didn't know the oil and active preamp were paid extras, and it is definitely a coloured oil finish. Would I be able to tell whether the body is ash or bubinga? From what I've read to bubinga is supposed to be heavier and more low end, and it adds about 200 euros to the price...
